Michael Kurt Mayer (b. 1999, Montreal) is an architectural designer and co-founder of Rappaport Mayer. He is a Master of Architecture candidate at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, where he was awarded the Plimpton-Poorvu Design Prize. His master’s thesis, Railway-Oriented Tourism: An Architectural Proposal for Les Routes touristiques du Québec, is supported by the Harvard Mellon Urban Initiative and the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs. Previously, he received a Bachelor of Science from McGill University, where he was awarded the Derek Drummond Award and the Wilfred Truman Shaver Travelling Scholarship. He has trained under Peter Zumthor in Switzerland and other architects across Europe and North America. A dual citizen of Canada and Germany, Michael speaks English, French, and German.
